BELMONT RESIDENCE
A Belmont Colonial Revival/Early Victorian house received a full renovation, providing an opportunity to connect the house to its small urban yard. A raised outdoor terrace becomes a distinct outdoor room, mirroring the new sitting room inside. A five foot grade difference from the back door to the driveway is navigated by stone steps and retaining walls that double as social seating and locations for the potted herb garden in the summer months. The small lawn panel accommodates play space for the dog and children and is framed with a mixed palette of evergreens and deciduous plants that are enjoyed from the new terrace and the interior of the house year-round.
